This oddly enough only contributes to her indescribable appeal, when all is said and done. Page’s recounting of her life involves a lot of pain and misery, but she’s applies a charming sense of humor to it, through and through.
Even people that she loved objectified and manipulated her, which at the very least sums up why she became a recluse in her later years. She hated alcohol, she hated cigarettes, and despite her passionate religious ideology, she could never be taken seriously by anyone. She’s certainly honest about her life, and in how she was very conservative in her ways.
